Who is Megan
Painting has always been a release for me, an intuitive way to move emotion through my body. Oftentimes, my only intention is to connect within and allow the process to deepen my awareness. I’ve done this since I was young. A private conversation with myself, inner movement, a means to ground and align within my truth.
Originally, everything I created was abstract— a visual expression on the canvas of what I was emotionally processing. Over time figures began to emerge: first the Women, then the Madonnas, and eventually the Land. The process represents the journey of oneself to the greater whole, the earth and land embodying the Great Mother in physical form. This evolution in my painting was organic, mirroring my emotional growth and a deepening awareness within myself and the space I occupy.
I am inspired by human emotion, experience, and where that dwells within our being. As we journey through our days, what begins to stir within, marking our soul as we witness all that surrounds us?
